Hi, I'm Allan.

Welcome to the first Quick AI Bytes. I'll be sharing useful things I actually try with AI, how they go, and the parts that still need a person.

First up: a pile of removal forms

I had just signed up for Muse, and this was the first useful task I came across: trying to get my phone number and email off data broker sites.

I was getting hammered with spam calls and texts. That got me thinking about how much of my personal information was floating around online.

So I asked Muse:

❝

Scrub my info from data broker sites that have my email and phone number. Do you know what those are?

My original conversation with Muse about removing my information from data broker sites. My email and phone number are obscured.

The actual chat that started this, with my contact details hidden.

Useful, with a few loose ends

Over a couple of days, Muse worked through a list of more than 30 sites. It looked for my listings, found removal forms, and submitted requests where it could.

I still had inbox duty: verification emails, CAPTCHA checks, and a few steps that needed me. Some requests went through, others needed follow-up, and a couple of sites didn't find a record of me.

That doesn't mean all my information is gone. I still need to check what actually disappeared.

But getting help with that pile of repetitive forms? Pretty useful.

Try it yourself

The full story has screenshots and a longer prompt you can copy into your own chat. Use it with an assistant you trust with your information, and keep your personal details out of public posts.
